(Saturday) on Saturday 9 August 3pm kick off at Bishops Caundle, Plume Samba on the 10th, and a four team tournament involving Stalbridge Res. Bishops Caundle (Sunday) and a team from the Yeovil League between the 24 & 31 August, with the Gillingham Town friendly in-between...all dates to be confirmed ASAP.

TGFC U18's pre-season program is also nearing completion with friendlies against Gillingham Town, and two other teams to be confirmed for August

The St Aldhelms Cup

Our Inaugural Pre-Season Tournament, The St Aldhelm’s Cup involving local sides from local leagues was won on goal difference by Bishops Caundle Sunday side from the Blackmore Vale League, with Pen Mill second from the Yeovil Sunday League, Stalbridge third who play in the Dorset Saturday League Division Four and TGFC, who came last, but as a club it was a useful pre-season exercise and thanks to all the teams who entered, especially Bishops Caundle who have now won two tournaments arranged by TGFC and the Gryphon Leisure Centre, principal sponsors of the event.

Team Gryphon FC are a Community Partnership Club, between the Gryphon Leisure Centre & Gryphon School formed in 2006. The club was elected into the Blackmore Vale Football League and its 1st Division at the AGM in June 2006, where they also became affiliated to Dorset County Football Association. During the clubs inaugural year they were awarded the FA Charter Standard Award for Adult Clubs by the County FA & The FA in February 2007.

The club has developed sponsored agreements with A TOUCH OF GLASS, a Yeovil based trophy and glass/metal engraving specialist and SEVENOAKS, SOUND & VISION, a Yeovil based home entertainment specialist. The club also enjoys being supported by THE MERMAID, Sherborne, the GRYPHON LEISURE CENTRE, Sherborne and RAM SPORTS, Wincanton, and its Coaching Partner, PASS AND MOVE FOOTBALL ACADEMY, a Sherborne based football-coaching specialist.

TGFC 1st Team play Sunday mornings in the Blackmore Vale Football League Division One, kicking off at 10.30am, with our home games played at ‘The Gryphon Park Football Ground’ and away games throughout West and North Dorset & South Somerset, all in the ‘Heart of the Blackmore Vale’. For next season the club have formed an U18’s Team, who will play Sunday afternoons in the Dorset Youth Football League, Division Two. Both TGFC teams, train on a Tuesday night on the Gryphon Leisure Centre ATP from 8.00pm till 9.30pm.
